WHO EXACTLY ARE NUNC? Formed in November 2014, they are Flossy McDougall, Geoff Veasey and John Kearney. Flossy sang and recorded previously in Pennyroyal along with Linda Dickson and Sue Dixon. Geoff sang and recorded previously with Black Parrot Seaside. John is a respected singer/songwriter originally from Cork, with a previous background in pretty well everything from Punk to Country. John, Geoff and Flossy also appear occasionally in Mac Awe On Tour-a bigger outfit supplemented by various additional guest musicians. Flossy plays a bit of guitar and John plays rather a lot. All three like colourful stage clothes. WHY NUNC? Nunc is latin for "Now"-and is intended to reflect new beginnings after previous bands folded.

WHAT SORT OF MATERIAL? An eclectic set list includes some traditional folk songs, some originals, some Blues and some Country. It also features covers of songs by Neil Young, Crowded House, Sam Cooke, Kasey Chambers, Bonnie Raitt, Richard and Linda Thompson, The Incredible String Band and Eddi Reader. Most songs are adapted to a unique NUNC arrangement, with three part harmonies and some are run together, as with Beatles and Buddy Holly medleys or a Stones-Beatles segue. This format is popular with audiences who like to sing along. With contemporary and traditional numbers in any set list, they appeal to a very broad audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTq2LMZVFsg
